U.S. CITIZEN FIANCE (K -1) VISA

The K-1 visas are for fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens who are entering the U.S. for the sole purpose of getting married within 90 days of their admission. Individuals must establish that they have the legal capacity to marry, that they met the U.S. Citizen within two years of filing the petition, and that they are otherwise admissible to the U.S. or eligible for a waiver. There are strict timing guidelines associated with this visa, so timing and planning of the proper filing of the K-visa petition becomes as important as planning and timing of the wedding itself.
